Collecting diverse flora in the highlands of Tlalpujahua, Mexico, Mónica Pratz launched Consuelda in 2006, to produce hard-to-find oils, made with all-natural components. Her massage oils made with wild harvested plants became the keystone for Consuelda's product line. Later, she traveled to the San Luis Potosí sierra, where Monica developed her appreciation and understanding of the plant and spagyric kingdom.
In 2016, she developed the skincare line - CONSUELDA-BALSAMOS - featuring curated natural skincare products. Mónica, is also a certified Somatic Movement educator/therapist and she’s passionate about well-being and alternative health. Her intention is to create awareness of the relationship between natural skincare and our health and to link our awareness to nature.
Monica studied Organic Cosmetic Formulation at the Formula Botanica school in the UK, and embarked on a sustainable business model in 2019. Handmade, in small batches and natural. CONSUELDA’s has evolved into a socially and environmentally responsible company, maintaining integrity with the natural world.
